What is the law on the debt rehabilitation of natural persons (WSNP)?
If you are unable to settle your debts, perhaps the legal regulation in the framework of the WSNP will provide a solution. The competent judge will decide, among others, how the debt was created and will examine whether no possibilities of settlement with the creditors could be reached. If fraud, irresponsible buying behaviour, earlier debt rehabilitation or bankruptcy are involved, the request can be denied.
If the judge decides that you can handle the obligations under the debt rehabilitation, a judge-commissioner and an administrator will be appointed. They will check whether you duly comply with all agreements.
I am in the WSNP and I have received a letter from Universum Inkasso. What should I do?
You should hand our collection letter to your administrator, requesting the latter to contact Universum Inkasso (preferably in writing). The same applies if you are in touch with an intermediary or mediating body (for example, debt advice agency, legal assistance firm, lawyer or the GKB, Municipal Credit Bank).
